Registration is FREE! Mileage/Hotel reimbursement for SANE nurses/staff only (see hotel info below).

Conference content relevant for NM multi-disciplinary professionals who work with sexual assault patients. We will apply for Continuing Education hours for nurses, law enforcement, counselor/social workers, and attorneys. In addition to local experts, two distinguished national presenters will support a dynamic two-day focus on the medical/forensic exam.

  • John Wilkinson, JD — Attorney Advisor with AEquitas: The Prosecutors’ Resource on Violence Against Women
  • Kim Nash, BSN, RN, SANE-A, SANE-P — Forensic Nurse Specialist with the International Association of Forensic Nurses (IAFN) and provides education and technical assistance for healthcare professionals, law enforcement, prosecutors, and advocates
  • Shalon Nienow MD, FAAP — Assistant professor of pediatrics at the University of New Mexico’s School of Medicine, with a dual appointment of working with the Child Abuse Response Team (CART) and serving as medical director of Para Los Ninos
  • Connie Monahan — NM Coalition of Sexual Assault Programs, Statewide Coordinator for the Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners (SANE)
