Children’s Advocacy Centers

This is a network of places throughout the state which offer a safe place to interview children who are suspected victims of child abuse. The interviews are conducted in a way that improves the investigations of child abuse, minimizes trauma to children and their families during the investigations, and helps families find the support services they need. This resource list illustrates the location of the Children’s Advocacy Centers in our state. These centers are contacted by law enforcement and/or Children, Youth, and Families Department (CYFD) when child abuse is suspected and there is an open investigation.

In June 2019, the New Mexico Children’s Alliance, an accredited chapter of the National Children’s Alliance (NCA), became a program of the New Mexico Coalition of Sexual Assault Programs.
